An eight-page mini comic is a specific type of mini comic that contains exactly eight pages and is typically created using a single sheet of paper folded into a small booklet.
One-Sheet Construction: The most common eight-page mini comic is made from a single 8.5x11 inch (letter-sized) sheet of paper. Through a specific folding and cutting technique, this single sheet transforms into an eight-page booklet measuring approximately 4.25x5.5 inches.
The creator prints or draws on one side of the paper, then folds and makes one strategic cut to create the booklet. This ingenious technique means no staples are needed—the comic holds together through the folds alone. There are numerous tutorials online showing the exact folding pattern.
Because of how the folding works, artists must arrange their panels in a specific sequence on the flat sheet so they appear in the correct order once folded. This requires planning but becomes second nature with practice.
